ASAPER promoted and specified along with the National Academy of Medicine “Consensus on perinatal asphyxia Argentino” then reproduced by numerous scientific associations.

We conducted meetings and workshops throughout the year: May 18 (Capital Federal, Sheraton Hotel, next to the Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Buenos Aires), 28 and 29 May (San Carlos de Bariloche, Hotel Sheraton, with Society Bariloche Obstetrics and Gynecology), June (Santa Fe, Medical College, together with the Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Santa Fe), Paraná (June, with chapter ASAPER Between Rivers, then Santa Fe), August 13 (Cordoba, Pre-congress Course and joint meeting with the Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Cordoba), November (Mendoza, joint meeting with the Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Mendoza): La Plata, Bahia Blanca and abroad (Montevideo AUPER and Santiago de Chile, along with the Chilean Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology).
ASAPER has developed in addition to teaching duties, research and outreach:
Research Projects:
- Congenital malformations VIGI + A: sentinel units in Federal Capital, Cordoba, Buenos Aires, Bahia Blanca, Entre Rios, Santa Fe and Corrientes. Project completed on schedule new stage incorporating new sentinel units in 12 Argentine provinces. Led by President Prof. Dr. Roberto Keklikián ASAPER.
- Detection of Group B Streptococcus (ASAPER collaboration with ASAIM multicentre project). Powered Argentinas in 7 provinces. Concluded. Opens a second phase with addition of new sentinel units. Directed by Dr. Graciela Lopez Degani and Head of Research and Epidemiology ASAPER, Dr. Mabel Duranti.
